Criticism trails Kim Kardashian’s visit to Nigeria
Following her 45-minute appearance at Dare Art Alade’s ‘Love like a movie’ Valentine show recently held at the convention centre of Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, criticism has trailed the rationale for paying popular American actress, Kim Kardashian the sum of $500,000 dollars.
Report has it that after some minutes on the red carpet and the pre-event dinner with some high profile guests, Kim reportedly appeared only for 45 seconds to speak to the cheering crowd before ‘vanishing’. Shortly after arriving her base, the 32-year-old tweeted: “Just landed back home! 20 hrs of flying. No big deal.” However, most entertainment loving Nigerians are not finding her 45-minute appearance with that sum of money paid her funny.
The social media has been awash with derogatory remarks from people on various sites hurling insults on both the organizers, Kim and the financier of the concert. Some of which are too offensive to be printed. But one of the attendees explained that the invectives at the American actress and the organisers of the show are uncalled for. He said: “ She came as a special guest.
She wasn’t scheduled to sing. She played her part and left. Those who got premium ticket had dinner with her, so what are they talking about? The fee is an agreement between the organisers and her.
They are only talking how much they paid her, what about the show? It was a world class show. Did you see the magic they use the lightings to achieve? What about the chain like performances? There was no dull moment. There is no need for all this brouhaha.”
