First Bank, GTB upgrade Internet banking platforms

Two leading African financial institutions, First Bank Limited and Guaranty Trust Bank plc havd announced the upgrade of their internet banking platforms for seamless services to customers.
The upgrade incorporates a new look and additional technical functionalities.
The upgraded Internet Banking platform provides customers with a more user friendly way to carry out their online transactions and manage their services. It also offers customers an account information reporting service via its new homepage dashboard as well as an enhanced security feature with its improved login keypad functionality. With its new responsive design, customers can use Internet Banking conveniently on computers and mobile devices.
The new FirstOnline banking platform was upgraded to give customers more choices of accessing banking services without having to leave the comfort of their homes or offices. The platform upgrade now comes with enhanced security features, with multi level security authentications such as two page login, personalized true stamp page, intelligent question and token authentication to protect customers from online fraudsters.

Attack on Maiduguri airport

There are indications that the Boko Haram have attacked the Maiduguri Airport in Borno State. The attack, according to unconfirmed reports has recorded several casualties.
